Next Week’s Steps

[My Leap Year is a 12-month life project at the end of which I intend to be writing full-time. 365 small steps = 1 giant leap.]

I haven’t had a week yet this Leap Year where I’ve written at least two hours a day for a full six days. It’s time. This coming week.

I have about 10-15 projects that are each a few final pages, a rewrite or a pitch synopsis away from being in an artist’s hands or in the mail to a publisher. Time to knock them all off my plate. I’d like to finish at least one a day. This is about a different use of time than I was talking about earlier in the day. This is butt in chair, nose to grindstone time. These projects are all past the point where they should be consuming my writing time. Artist correspondence time, pitch time, promotion time…all okay. But writing time no more.

So Monday through Friday, if you don’t see a post from me at least once a day talking about another project I finished up, then pester me.

  1. Okay, I will pester you if you will pester me. Daniel is grown and doing well. Lydia has moved out and is doing pretty well. It’s me and the pug during the day…I should be writing!
